We’re in the process of changing registration systems and as such, registration for courses beginning this summer is currently on hold.

MARI 0107 will run from May 5 to 14, with in-person classes at the Owen Sound Campus. The course fee is $1,275.

Please submit our online form to reserve your seat (availability permitting). The Centre for Marine Training and Research (CMTR) will follow up with you directly to confirm your seat and provide the steps to register and submit payment.

Please note: You will receive a confirmation email approximately one week prior to the course starting. This will indicate course start time, room number, and other important information about the course.

This training course is intended for seafarers who require a Global Maritime, Distress and Safety System (GMDSS) General Operators Certificate in accordance with Section A-IV/2 of the STCW Code. Course content is a combination of theoretical delivery and practical operation of varied communication equipment. Prerequisite: Minimum 18 years of age.
