We’re in the process of changing registration systems and as such, registration for courses beginning this summer is currently on hold.MARI 0255 will run from July 5 to 20, with online classes July 5 to 8 and in-person classes July 11 to 16 at the Owen Sound Campus. The in-person Transport Canada examination will take place July 17 to 20. The course fee is $2,950.

Please note, students registering into this course must have access to a computer with an operating system of Windows 10 or higher.
This course is designed to provide knowledge of corrective actions to be taken when recognizing and problem-solving the signs and symptoms of deteriorating function of ships’ machinery. Prerequisites: CDN#, STCW endorsed 4th Class Engineer Certificate of Competency at minimum. While holding at the minimum a Certificate of Competency at the 4th class Engineer level, an applicant must have completed a minimum of 6 months of sea service as an engineer in charge of an engineering watch or in charge of the machinery, onboard a vessel of at least 750 KW.
