Role of the DH in Ortho
DENT 2005
Students explore the role of the dental hygienist in orthodontic therapy with an emphasis on regulatory responsibilities and the orthodontic practice setting. Fixed and removable orthodontic appliances are introduced in the context of active and preventive therapy. Students gain practical lab experience with associated clinical skills such as placement and removal of brackets, bands, and placement of arch wires on a manikin.

Students registering for credit courses for the first time must declare a program at the point of registration. Declaring a program does not necessarily mean students must complete a program, individual courses may be taken for skill improvement and upgrading.
