Speech Sound Disorders

Students learn theoretical background and skills pertaining to treatment methodology in the areas of speech sound disorders (articulation, phonology, and motor speech). They discuss typical developmental milestones and sequences, along with disorders and the intervention process. Students explore activities and strategies reflective of a variety of treatment approaches and current trends. They examine motor speech disorders, along with the treatment options available.
