Additional information

This blended course is offered two days online at the start of the course, and two days on campus for practical training at the end. Some courses have days off in between the online and practical components.

This online theory with on-site practical course is a refresher of training courses designed to comply with the regulations and to refresh the seafarers’ skills in basic emergency duties, through blended online theory with demonstrations along with on-site drills completing practical components and exercises. This training allows seafarers to renew their Marine Emergency Duties, Standards of Training, Certification and Watchkeeping for Seafarers (MED STCW) Basic Safety and MED Proficiency in Survival Craft Training for a period not exceeding five years. Prerequisites: Min. 16 years of age, Medical Fitness Report, STCW Basic Safety (or equivalent), STCW Proficiency in Survival Craft (or equivalent).
